Stonebriar has been one of the leading thoroughbred breeding, training, and racing stables in the United States for many years. It is recognized internationally for the high quality racehorses that it produces each season.

April Hill was the founder and start of Stonebriar, but that wasn't always the stables name. The stable first came to Turfhorse mid 2004 as a stable called Blue River Ranch. There the lovely and well known grey filly named Ambroce' was born. Her bloodlines continued and happened to be some of the greatest ever seen in the racing industry. She wasn't the very best, but she never gave up and did extraordinarily well in her career - winning many races and going on to be a top-broodmare after retirement. She was the start of the thoroughbred industry for the stable that later became known as Cantoona. After she was sold many others were born, and from there Cantoona only continued to grow and with a new and improved facility the name was changed to High Point Racing. High Point continued to produce top quality thoroughbreds and had some of the top winning racers in the Nation. When the racing season came to a close High Point went dorment on the track but still had their trainers and staff keeping their eye on the competition for when they came back. More expansions happened, and now with the name Stonebriar the stable is ready for the new season. Great things are expected, and we're excited to see what happens. Stonebriar will continue to produce and train Thoroughbreds to top quality and then send them out to win and bring back the gold each year. Although not all make it to the top, we are proud to say that most do make it there.

Stonebriar Racing is, and has been, home to an extreme number of high stakes winners, as well as Dubai World Cup producing bloodlines. Many of past studs and broodmares had countless winners who have gone on to tackle it all; winning stakes race after stakes race, many making it to more than the Breeders Cup, Preakness, Belmont, Kentucky Derby, Triple Crown, and the Dubai World Cup!

 

With Turfhorse updating and refreshing the website, restarting all bloodlines, Stonebriar knows their new stock will be the start of a new kingdom of winners! Although all the old bloodlines are gone, Stonebriar is excited for this fresh start and all the new possibilities it brings!
